No Degree - Or Low Grades

What to do if you don't have the academic qualifications required

Having no degree or low grades doesn't mean you can't apply for the job.

Some professions require university qualifications.

Obvious examples are medicine and dentistry.

Others, such as accounting, may require professional qualifications.

However, sometimes a degree is requested because it is "usual" in that company. The requirement may or may not be flexible.

You won't know unless you ask.

The recruiting manager may be open to employing someone with great experience and skills but no degree or low grades, below the threshold requested.

Follow a similar approach to the "too little experience" section.

Look for what you can offer the company instead of a degree and contact the recruiter to discuss your application.
